One girl - one goal: to live a healthier life.

This includes eating more locally produced food; cooking culinary delights at home; and living life to it's fullest.

Healthy living does not have to be boring and tasteless...

Bootcamp!!!

I am mid-week into the second week of boot camp and still waking up at 6:30 a.m. three times a week to attend! This morning was actually the hardest morning thus far  -- I was really tempted to stay in bed, but I reminded myself that I never regret going to the workout, but I would regret skipping it.

I have been attending Boot Camp U Austin. Again, I am only mid-way through week two, but I am really enjoying it. The trainer that works with my class, Robyn (also the owner), is amazing. Every day we have done a different workout, so you don't get bored. And she really pays attention to your form and lets you know when you are doing something wrong. The class/trainer setting also pushes me much harder than I would ever push myself in a workout. As much as I try to hold myself accountable, it is easy to do less reps...or less time than I should. And it is hard to really truly push your own limits (at least I find it hard).

I have definitely had to adjust to the morning workout, but I do enjoy having my workout for the day done first thing in the morning. It is nice that nothing can derail my plan (except myself). It was getting too easy to skip a workout because I was tired, or had a long day at work, or really wanted a beer. There is nothing to get in the way first thing in the morning.

I just have to keep reminding myself that I never regret getting up in the morning and going to the workout....no matter how many burpees Robyn makes us do...
