One girl - one goal: to live a healthier life.

This includes eating more locally produced food; cooking culinary delights at home; and living life to it's fullest.

Pasta with italian sausage and peppers

This dish is one of my hubby's favorites. I agree, it is quite delicious. He has been requesting it for awhile, and I finally made it this past week. This is another simple dish to make. It is very basic: pasta (I used linguini), bell peppers, onion, italian sausage and one large can of diced tomatoes.

I chopped up all the veggies and the hot italian sausage as my prep.

Oh -- and of course I threw some (or a lot) of garlic in there. I browned the sausage in a pan and threw the linguini in some boiling water.

I sautéed the peppers, onions and garlic with the sausage.

I added the can of diced tomatoes (flavored with garlic, basil and oregeno) and let that simmer for a few minutes.

I drained the cooked pasta and mixed the sauce together with the pasta.

And -- voilà! -- a yummy italian dinner!
